On Thursday, November 19, 2015, I attended the Annual AJC Sponsored Thanksgiving Diversity Breakfast at Manhattanville College in Purchase, New York. The 375 attendees came together for a morning of shared values and diverse roots--an event that has been taking place since September 11th.

This year's theme was "Respecting Ourselves, Respecting Others"  honored: Monsignor Alan Detscher of St. Catherine of Siena Church in Greenwich, Joel Fridovich of the New Rochelle Alternative High School and Ayse Keskin of the Turkish Cultural Center in Elmsford.

This year also featured a special tribute to Clifford Wolf (pictured Center below), AJC Westchester/Fairfield Interreligious and Intergroup Relations Committee Co-Chair.

Dr. Iadeluca attends a Screening of PUMP: The Movie

On October 19, 2015, I attended the AJC-JCC Mid Westchester screening of PUMP:  The Movie featuring Yossie Hollander, Founder of Fuel Freedom Foundation.

Welcoming remarks were said by Rika Levin, Director of Marketing and Communications, JCC and Mark Reisman, Co-Chair, AJC Westchester/Fairfield Energy Committee.  Daniel Singer, Co-Chair of AJC Westchester/Fairfield Energy Committee gave the introduction of Guest Speaker, Yossie Hollander.

PUMP:  The Movie is an interesting film that showed America's addiction to oil and the discussion to advance alternative energy solutions, including ethanol, natural gas and electric. PUMP:  The Movie spoke on the history of oil consumption in America as well its dependency and its relationship to either an economic upswing and/or downturn.

In short, the word promulgated throughout PUMP: The Movie is choice.  Indeed Hollander said in his talk, "We have choice when we buy clothing or what I put in my mouth to eat--why not at the pump?"

Here's the trailer of PUMP:  The Movie:

Dr. Iadeluca serves on her 25th Class Reunion Committee for Fordham University

I'm so thrilled to have served as a member of my 25th Class Reunion Committee for Fordham University's Jubilee Celebration!!

What a most soulful experience that took us to, as University President, Father Joseph McShane, SJ, stated in his Homily, "a pilgrimage home."  It was endearing to be on the Fordham University Rose Hill Campus with fellow alumni enjoying the festivities and learning of the expansive work being done at Fordham University.

"Sapientia et Doctrina" always!!  GO RAMS!!

Here are some photos of my "pilgrimage home":

"Holy, Bat-Memories!!"

President/CEO, Dr. Luisa M. Iadeluca shares proudly a photo taken with and recently, graciously signed by Mr. Adam West (Batman from the 1966-68 TV Series).  The photo was taken when as an undergraduate at Fordham University, Rose Hill Campus in 1989 where Mr. West gave a talk.

ADAM.WEST.PIX.jpg In this humble person's opinion, Mr. West is the best Batman and the TV Show is a quality and timeless program that has delighted multiple generations spanning across the globe!!

Fellow Batman '66 fans can check out Mr. West's website (www.adamwest.com) for great memorabilia!!

Thank you, Fordham (www.fordham.edu) and thank you, Mr. West, for the treasure that is Batman!!
